Play Craps for Real Money
Craps is a game that takes a short time to learn and a lifetime to enjoy. While it may seem intimidating at first, as soon as you start winning cash, you will find that the game can be mastered easily. To reduce the intimidation factor, why not play craps online before you even go to a casino. It can give you good practice, and some folks have such a good time playing online craps , that they never play anywhere but on their computers. When you have a feel for all the Craps rules, then you will be confident to play Craps for real money.
Craps Starters
Basically, Craps is a game played by rolling a pair of six-sided dice. Although there are very important exceptions, the core of the game is that whatever number you get on the first roll, you keep rolling until you get it again, or you roll a seven. If you get the number you originally rolled a second time, you win at Craps. If, however, you roll a seven first, you lose. Now here's where it gets interesting. Even though rolling a seven can make you lose, if you roll a seven on your first roll, you actually win at Craps. You don't have to roll two sevens in a row. Roll a seven on your first roll, the round is over, and you are a real money Craps winner.
More Craps Rolls
So on the first roll, if you get a seven, you win. If you get another number - that number becomes your "point." You then keep rolling until you roll your point or a seven. There are a few more numbers you can roll on the first roll - called the "come out" roll, that are immediate winners or losers and do not set a point. If you roll an eleven, the result is the same as if you had rolled a seven. You win at Craps instantly and the round is over. That's why seven and eleven are called "lucky" seven and eleven. On the other hand, if you roll a 2, 3 or 12 (rare, but it happens), you lose the Craps round and start over. This is only for the Come Out roll. If you roll a 2, 3, 11, or 12 after establishing your point, play continues until you roll the point or a seven.
Betting in Real Money Craps
The above is all you need to play and understand Craps. However, what gives craps its appeal is that there is an elaborate system of wagering that accompanies the game. You can place Craps bets on just about any outcome of the game. For example, you can place a simple bet that the roller (called the "Shooter") will win or lose. In other words, that they will roll a seven or eleven on the come out roll or establish a point that they will roll again before a seven comes up. The odds paid on a standard "pass line" bet are one to one. In other words, you win an amount equal to your bet. (Of course, you get the amount you bet back too!). If you were playing Craps for real money, then the excitement of the game is even higher. To learn more about how to win at craps, read up on Craps strategy.
